American Roulette

Welcome to American Roulette! Roulette is the most famous of all games of chance and is easy to learn, even for beginners and casino newcomers. A small ball, a wheel with numbers from 0 to 36, and a table where you place your chips on individual numbers or combinations—these are all you need for a unique game of chance.

Objective: the right number!

Objective

Your objective is to “predict” which number the ball will land on.

Gameplay

The dealer announces “Place your bets, please” to open the game. You then place your chips on the various betting options and wait for the exciting moment when the croupier spins the ball. With the announcement “No more bets” (“Rien ne va plus”), betting is closed—the ball lands. The winning number is called out loud, and all bets related to that number are paid out—any remaining chips are removed from the table by the croupier.

Special Features

Two special features add to the excitement. First, there are the so-called wheel checks—chips whose value you can determine yourself. Second, there is the racetrack. This is a separate betting area where the dealer places bets on neighboring numbers for you: series and neighboring numbers. For example, if you trust the two neighboring numbers to the left and right of 23, you have the croupier place 5 chips on 23 for you.

Payouts

  • Manque | Passe: 1x payout

Manque is a bet on numbers 1 to 18, while Passe covers numbers 19 to 36. You place your chip in the corresponding field on the roulette table. If the ball lands on a number within your chosen range, you win even money. This is one of the simplest and most popular bets in roulette. The payout is 1:1, meaning you double your bet if you win.

  • Even | Odd: 1x payout

You can bet on all even numbers (Even) or all odd numbers (Odd). Place your chip in the “Even” or “Odd” field. If the ball lands on a number that matches your choice, you win even money. This bet covers almost half of the numbers on the wheel, except for zero. The payout is 1:1, making it a straightforward option for beginners.

  • Noir | Rouge: 1x payout

Betting on Noir (black) or Rouge (red) means choosing all numbers of a specific color. Place your chip in the “Black” or “Red” field. If the ball lands on a number of your chosen color, you win even money. This is one of the most iconic bets in roulette. The payout is 1:1, so you double your stake if you win.

  • Dozens: 2x payout

The Dozens bet lets you choose between the 1st dozen (1–12), 2nd dozen (13–24), or 3rd dozen (25–36). Place your chip in the area marked for your chosen dozen. If the ball lands on a number within your dozen, you win twice your bet. This bet covers twelve numbers at once, increasing your chances compared to single number bets. The payout is 2:1, offering a good balance between risk and reward.

  • Sixline |  Transversale Simple: 5x payout

A Sixline bet covers six consecutive numbers in two adjacent rows. Place your chip at the intersection of the two rows on the table. If any of the six numbers come up, you win five times your bet. This bet offers a higher payout than columns or dozens. The payout is 5:1, rewarding players who take a bit more risk.

  • Corner | Carre: 8x payout

A Corner bet, also called Carré, covers four numbers that meet at one corner on the table. Place your chip at the intersection of the four numbers. If any of these numbers win, you receive eight times your bet. The only exception is the special 0/1/2/3 bet. The payout is 8:1, making it a popular choice for those seeking bigger wins.

  • Street | Transversale Pleine: 11x payout

A Street bet covers a row of three consecutive numbers. Place your chip at the end of the row you want to bet on. If any of the three numbers win, you get eleven times your original bet. There is a special exception for the 0/1/2 combination. The payout is 11:1, offering substantial rewards for a small risk.

  • Split | Chaval: 17x payout

A Split bet, or Cheval, is placed on the line between two adjacent numbers. If either number wins, you receive seventeen times your bet. This bet allows you to cover two numbers with one chip. Splits are a classic strategy for players who want to increase their odds without spreading their bets too thin. The payout is 17:1, making it an exciting option.

  • Full Number | Plein: 35x payout

A Full Number bet, or Plein, is placed directly on a single number. If your chosen number wins, you receive thirty-five times your bet. This is the highest standard payout in roulette. Betting on a single number is risky but can be very rewarding. The payout is 35:1, making it the ultimate bet for those who love excitement.
