New records at the Triple A Poker Series at Spielbank Berlin
With a total prize pool of €835,797 and a record-breaking Main Event prize pool of €568,000, this edition of the Triple A was the most successful Triple A of all time. The winner of the Main Event claimed an impressive €100,000 – a first prize that in earlier editions equalled the entire Main Event prize pool.
Record-breaking Main Event with a strong field
The €250,000 guarantee in the Main Event was already clearly surpassed on the first starting day. Day 1A saw 700 entries from 550 players, exceeding the guarantee by around €30,000 at that point. Day 1B added another 720 entries from 549 players. In total, 1,099 players with 1,420 entries took part in the Main Event, creating an outstanding atmosphere on the poker floor at Spielbank Berlin.
The final table was reached on Sunday at midnight. At around 1:30 a.m., the last five remaining players agreed on an ICM deal, while the coveted Triple A Buddy Bears were still played for. Many players had already secured their seats beforehand: over the course of two satellite days, a total of 195 tickets for the Main Event were awarded.
Strong side events and packed poker rooms
Not only the Main Event but also the side events contributed significantly to the overall success of the festival week. Side Event 1 registered 367 entries with a prize pool of €64,225. Side Event 2 attracted 315 entries and awarded €69,300, while Side Event 3 drew 362 entries and featured a prize pool of €47,060.
In total, 3,702 entries were recorded during the festival, and €835,797 in prize money was paid out. A smooth tournament experience was ensured by 58 poker tables and up to 75 dealers, who professionally ran the high-class action throughout the week.
Spielbank Berlin would like to thank all players for an unforgettable tournament week and is already looking forward to the next edition of the Triple A Poker Series.
